Hank has 39 years of experience with Northwestern Mutual, Manulife, Lincoln Reinsurance, ExamOne and, since 2003, as CEO of his own consulting and educational services firm.

He is a 2-time MDRT main platform speaker and has also addressed the Top of the Table twice. Hank has made over 400 presentations to producer, senior management, actuary and underwriter groups worldwide. He has also spoken at 100+ producer sales conferences hosted by insurers.

Hank is a Fellow with Distinction of the Academy of Life Underwriting and a former president of the U.S. national underwriters’ association. He founded the LOMA International Underwriting Congress and hosts multiple study groups for chief underwriting officers each year.

His firm, Hank George, Inc., offers continuing education for home office underwriters. Since inception, over 3000 underwriters have participated in this unique learning experience.

He is the founder of the underwriting quarterly magazine On The Risk and he writes two e-publications: monthly Hot Notes – which is free and has 1500 readers in 47 countries – and JournalScan, a bimonthly medical underwriting newsletter.

Hank has published nearly 400 articles and papers on a wide range of topics. He is a scheduled contributor to The National Underwriter and Best’s Review, and is published frequently in LIMRA Market Facts, NAILBA Perspectives, LOMA Resource, Broker World, the actuarial magazine Contingencies, Australia’s Risk-e-Business and many other journals and magazines.

He has coauthored three books and has just self-published Underwriting: What Every Producer Must Know – a resource enabling producers to deftly navigate the home office underwriting gauntlet and get their business issued faster and more favorably.

Hank resides in his home town, Milwaukee, and is a lifelong, loyal Cheesehead.
